Bananas Over Beer

August 4, 2009

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a banana!? It’s a beer? It’s Banana Bread Beer! Here to drown your troubles away via British hops, malt and bananas.

Next time you’re in the mood for a little banana in your brewski, slap on your favorite banana hammock and take Wells Banana Bread Beer out for a stroll. You slice ‘em in your cereal, why not serve them in your stein?

The banan-roma combined with traditional ale makes for interesting flavor that will have you going, uh … bananas. The sweet and bitter mix really plays nicely together like Mary Kate and Ashley having a discussion over the last doughnut:

Mary Kate: Here, Ashley, have the last doughnut.
Ashley: No, thank you. You can have it.
Mary Kate: No, really, I insist. Take the last doughnut.
Ashley: No, really, Mary Kate, I insist. It’s my pleasure.
Mary Kate: How about we split it?
Ashley: Might as well … it’s not like we’re going to actually eat it.
Evil laugh Muwhahahaha. Mary Kate joins in laughter while twiddling her fingers. Muwhahahaha.

Wells Banana Bread Beer is 568 milliliters of 5.2% alcoholic British royalty. That’s right, it’s served British pint style which is equivalent to the U.S. tall boy. For $4.99, you get not only one, but two servings of your beer and bananas.

Calling all Charlotte locals, cue up at the Common Market that sells it in singles. For you non-locals, try smashing up some ‘nanners in your Natural Light tall boy and see what happens. Natty ‘Nanners, anyone?

Cheerio!

he went bananas over this beer, will you?
