New Kitchen: Before and After

October 3, 2011

Hello there. I know you are just dying to see the new kitch. Ok, maybe I am just dying to show it to you. Before we drool over it together, let’s revisit what it looked like before to drum up some anticipation.

Do you have butterflies yet? Are you tingling in your loins? Was that an over share?

Drum roll. I totally wish Ty Pennington was here to shout “Move that bus.” Let’s do it anyway. 1. 2. 3.

Did you shout it yet? Ok, go.

Recap of what we did:

Our biggest goal was to open it up to bring more light in so we tore down a big chunk of the wall and also put in a larger exterior door. We ripped out the linoleum and installed hardwood flooring, installed new cabinets as the other ones were plastic with a faux wooden sticker pasted on them, new sink, new appliances, subway tile, new lighting, new stair rail leading to an unfinished basement and a partridge in a pear tree.

I will fill you in soon on the elements we included to make it a true “cook’s” kitchen. Stay tuned.
